Check a Claim Passport certificate
Enter the certificate reference and the holder's surname to confirm a certificate is genuine and current. Certificates are issued under the Claim Passport Certificate Standard, CPCS/2026.11 consumer edition, first established in November 2025.
What a check shows
- Shown: the verdict, the six gates, the evidence completeness score (ECS), the issue date and whether the certificate is current.
- Never shown: claim details, the holder's contact details or the identified value. The value stays inside the holder's passport.
- What it means: the certificate certifies the record. It gives no view on whether a claim will succeed and is not advice.
For lenders, firms and ombudsmen
- Check by API:
GET https://claimpassports.com/api/public/certificate?ref=REFERENCE&surname=SURNAMEreturns the same standing as this page as JSON, with the signed payload and the Ed25519 signature. - Check the signature yourself: the public key is at
https://claimpassports.com/api/public/certificate/key. The signature covers the reference, issue, standard, edition, verdict, ECS, record fingerprint and issue time, and nothing personal. - Permission: a check needs the reference and the holder's surname, which only the holder can give you. Every check is logged.
